Belgium : Belgium lies in Western Europe alongside Germany, the Netherlands and France and bordering the North Sea. Brussels is the capital of Belgium and therefore is also the center for the European Union. Belgium is strongly divided (on various levels, including cultural, language, social), namely Flanders (Dutch) and Walloon provinces (French). There is also a small German-speaking community in Belgium. The country is divided into three regions, Flanders, the Walloon provinces and Brussels Capital Region. Belgium is internationally known for its extensive selection of beer. Furthermore, the well known Belgian fries, the Flemish fries. The main tourist areas are the coast, the Ardennes, the Kempen and the cities: Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and Bruges. In Brussels, especially Manneken Pis and the Atomium a well-known attraction for trips. Belgium is particularly suitable for active holidays such as walking, cycling and survival in the Ardennes. But for lovers of nature, rest or gourmet stay Belgium is to be recommended as a holiday.
