The country has a lot of natural beauty, ranging from rivers (Soca) to the Triglav National Park with the glacier lakes of Bled and Bohinj. Sights are further: the Vrsic Pass, with towns like Tolmin and Kobarid, the caves (Postojna), the caves of Skocjan, Lipica (with the Lipizzaner horses), Hrastovlje (church with frescoes), Novo Mesto, Brezice, Kostanjevica, Savinja , Maribor, Ptuj and the region around Murska Sobota.
