Switzerland (direct democratic federal republic) is located in the Alps and bordered by neighbours Germany (also of Lake Bodensee), France, Austria and Liechtenstein. The city of Bern, the longest covered winkelarcade (over 6 miles) of Europe. In the canton of Zermatt is the famous Matterhorn mountain.
A cruise ship is a very large passenger ship, specially designed for holidays on the water. Mostly sunny destinations are on the program, but also Alaska or the South Pole are popular destinations for cruises in summer. Cruises are becoming increasingly popular. The television series The Love Boat from the 70s, recorded on the Pacific Princess cruise ship from the company Princess Cruises, made cruises and cruise ships popular to a large number of people.
