Archaeology literally means the teachings or knowledge of the old or ancient (archaios is Greek for 'old' and logos means' knowledge '). The archaeology deals with physical remnants of past human activities. On this basis, the archaeologist trying to understand something of the manner in which people previously lived. Material things are remnants may: tools, weapons, coins, bricks. It may contain residues of the people themselves as skeletons, mummies or the ash of burnt bones.
